Microsoft Outlook 2010: Eliminate the deleted item space in Windows XP
It is very important that you regularly clean up the Microsoft Outlook 2010 folder so that there is enough free space on your hard disk and the application is able to perform at its optimum. However, simply deleting old and redundant files will not solve the purpose here; you will also have to compress the PST and OST files.
Don’t worry; this isn’t a complex task at all. In just a few steps you will be able to eliminate the deleted item space created on your Microsoft Outlook 2010.
If you are a Windows XP user, this is what you can do:
1. Open Microsoft Outlook
2. On the File menu, click on “Account Settings
3. On the “Data Files tab, click to select your “Personal Folder, and then click “Settings
4. On the “General tab, click “Compact Now
5. Click on “OK
6. Now click on “Close
By following the above steps, you can successfully create better memory space on your Microsoft Outlook 2010. Remember to periodically repeat these steps so as to avoid clogging your Microsoft Outlook 2010 program.
