Boost your Gmail Experience for Enhanced Productivity
Are you a Gmail power user? Do you rely on Gmail for most of your business correspondences? No matter how long or how frequently you use Gmail, with Google constantly revamping its mail web client for enhanced user experience, there are chances that you must be missing on some of the important updates that can help you turbo-charge your business productivity.
Let’s take a look at some new Gmail tools that can help you spice up your e-mail experience and stay productive:
Gmail users have been blessed with a feature called Mute that helps you to simply Mute a particular message and send the entire conversation to the archive. Thus, all the future e-mails that are a part of this conversation will automatically move to the archive. This feature is especially useful for those e-mails that are not relevant to you, but you keep getting them because your name appears in the cc or bcc list. To mute a conversation, select the message, click on ‘More’ menu, and click on the ‘Mute’ option.
Gmail and Drive
Have you ever tried to attach a file just to find out that it’s too large to send? Drive, Gmail’s new feature, helps you to easily keep, create, and share files with others. Drive lets you attach files that are up to 10GB. So whether it is an important document, a presentation for your boss, or photos from your recent trip, you can easily share them through Gmail using Drive. And since the files are stored on the cloud, all the recipients can access them at the same time.
Find Your Stuff Faster
Google has made it faster and easier for you to search a message in your Gmail account. Now you can easily search e-mails by their size, date, exact match, and more. Simply type size:5m or larger:5m and Gmail will display all the e-mails matching this size. To search e-mails sent over a year ago, just type older_than:1y and get easy access to all the mails from the previous year.
Gmail Makes Communication Easier
With more than 100 virtual keyboards, transliteration and IMEs, staying in touch with friends in Germany, family in Russia, and business partners in France has become a lot more convenient. Â These tools allow you to type words in local language that you’re accustomed to. The virtual keyboard supports 75 different languages and it never lets you fall short of words while sending a conversation.
Faster Compose and Reply Experience
Saving your message in drafts to refer old e-mails and then reopening the draft to compose the final message wastes a lot of valuable time. Gmail’s new and completely revamped ‘Compose’ pops up like a chat and allows you to instantly type a message while referring other e-mails as well as keep an eye on all the new e-mails that are coming in.
