Google has become a part and parcel of our lives now and so has Facebook. We often upload statuses and photos on Facebook and search for every possible thing on Google. Looking at the immense popularity of the search giant, Facebook, the social networking giant has apparently released a plug-in, which gives you full control to like, share and recommend any page in your Google Chrome browser. The Like plug-in, as it is referred, is an exciting feature which will surely be liked by all the users.
Here’s how it works:
Once the plug-in is installed, it adds a thumbs-up icon to the top-right corner of your Google Chrome browser. Once you click on the icon, a drop-down menu appears. From this menu, you can click on the Like button if you like a particular webpage.
You can also right-click on a webpage and use the Like button to share, like or even recommend a specified content. You can not only share the content but also add a comment, like it and also regulate the visibility of your post. The added advantage is that you can share audios and videos as well, but only if they are in the HTML5 format.
The best part is that you don’t need to be logged in to your Facebook account for installing the plug-in. However, as per Facebook, when you want to share, like or recommend a page, you need to be logged in to your Facebook account, which is a potential downside when it comes to the usability of the plugin. Further, the plug-in also displays likes for a particular web page you view.
The plug-in is available on the Google Chrome Web Store and can be downloaded for free! What is worth noting is that Facebook didn't make any official announcement about the release of such plugin. It launched it discreetly. To download the link click here.
