Gmail® Preview Pane replicates Microsoft® Outlook
We may often end up purchasing objects/gadgets/appliances similar to the one our neighbor already has. Not necessarily, it is bought out of sheer envy or jealousy, it can often depend on the usability, accessibility and surely the latest prevailing trends. Gmail has also done something similar. It has changed the style and application of its interface which carry a lot of resemblance to MS Outlook. Now, with the new Preview Pane feature, you can now preview the messages in your Gmail Inbox, like you can in your MS Outlook inbox.
Â If you are interested to access this new Preview Pane on Gmail accounts follow the following steps:
• Click on the Gear icon in the upper-right corner of the Gmail window to access Gmail Labs
• Choose Mail Settings.
• Click on the Labs tab in the Settings menu.
• Scroll down the Preview Pane (labs options are alphabetically enlisted).
• Click on the radio button termed as Enable.
• Now scroll either back to the top or go way down to the bottom to click on Save Changes.
The Gmail Preview Pane being remarkably similar to the Reading Pane in Microsoft Outlook, had many users ponder over on confusion of whether or not to switch their account to Gmail. However, apart from this, Gmail differs significantly from Microsoft Outlook. Gmail has retained its conversation nesting format. Hence users can easily access the entire conversation threads that remain posted within the newly inculcated Preview Pane.
