The experimental features of Gmail Labs or the Gmail Offline are few such examples. The hard work of the Gmail team does not stop here; some highly successful features go on to be integrated into the Gmail platform, itself. All this has worked wonders in making Gmail a multi-featured and user-friendly e-mail service.
This time the team has introduced much coveted ’Multiple sign-in’ support for Gmail on for devices based on Android and iOS. The feature that was introduced last year in the desktop versions is now available on mobile platform, too. It enables you to sign-in to multiple Gmail accounts on your mobile at the same time. It lets you to switch through your business and personal Gmail accounts.
To access the feature and sign-in to another account, simply direct your mobile browser to Gmail and sign-in. Now click on the ‘Account Switcher’ that is at the bottom of the apps-list and select ‘Sign into another account’. All the simultaneously signed-in accounts can be accessed from the ’Accounts’ menu. You also have the option to ‘sign out of all accounts’ at one go.
Some other features have been launched besides the ‘Multiple sign-in’ one, such as ‘Vacation Auto-Responder’ similar to the desktop version. It lets you to generate auto-reply when you are traveling, or on a vacation. Another feature called ‘Mobile-specific signature’ lets you to customize a mobile-device specific signature so the recipients know that you are responding from your handset.
