Semi-Automatic Gmail Assistant: The Email Gadget to Send Out Rude Replies
Do you get e-mails from friends or colleagues asking for unwanted favors that often leave you furious? Do you face difficulty in turning down their offers by saying ‘No’? Let this Gmail’s new gadget handle these annoying e-mails for you.
Semi-Automatic Gmail Assistant (SAGA) is an automated answering machine that lets you send instant replies to e-mails through a set of simple, colorful boxes that actually act as substitute to your keyboard. The rectangular boxes come in with a chrome button, a space for putting key for activation, and a USB port for connecting to your computer. The key lockout feature prevents accidental activation. To enable SAGA to work with your Gmail account, you need to enable mail keyboard shortcuts by going to your Gmail settings. SAGA is also compatible with your Yahoo! Mail, and after an update, it will also work with some versions of Outlook.
Activation Process for SAGA
- Â Once you have identified a pesky e-mail, activate SAGA by inserting the key and rotating it clockwise.
- LED lights will lit up around the chrome button.
- Once the button is pressed, within a second, SAGA sends the response to the e-mail that types out as ‘Go F*** Yourself’.
However, there’s a catch. There is 1% chance that SAGA will send "That's a great idea, I'll get right on it!" instead of the usual message.
SAGA, which is powered by Teensy 2.0, has been created by Kevin Bastyr with Milwaukee Makerspace. It is made up from electronics parts worth $15 and you can own it from his Etsy store for $85.
Do you find any use of this gadget in sending out replies to your e-mails? What say?
