Microsoft® Outlook® 2007 Issues
Microsoft® Outlook® 2007 issues that can arise while sending e-mails or opening e-mail attachments
Microsoft® Outlook® 2007 is available as a separate application or a part of the Microsoft® Outlook® suite. Although, often used as an e-mail application it also contains calendar, task manager, contact manager, note taking, journal and web browsing. It can be used either as a stand-alone application or can collaborate with Microsoft® Exchange Server or Microsoft® Office SharePoint for multiple users in an organization. Microsoft® Outlook® 2007 is used to manage personal information of an account holder. You can store contact information, such as your e-mails, appointments etc. in your Microsoft® Outlook® account. It includes the Go feature, which helps in switching between panes, Junk e-mail Filter and Cached Exchange Mode. Microsoft® Outlook® 2007 can manage multiple user accounts. You can switch between multiple accounts by setting multiple profiles option in Microsoft® Outlook® 2007. There is an option in the Control Panel to add new profiles to the Microsoft® Outlook®. Microsoft® Outlook® can be integrated with mobile phones and Internet communication software. With certain advantages, you might face issues related to sending mails, opening e-mail attachments and connectivity.
There are several issues that might occur in Microsoft® Outlook® 2007:
- Error while sending e-mails
- Issues while opening e-mail attachments
- Connectivity related issues
Error while sending e-mails
An error “0X80040201” can occur while sending e-mail due to using of multiple e-mail Ids. To avoid this issue you have to create a new Microsoft® Outlook® profile for each ID. There is a chance for another error “800CCC0F” to occur and it further reports that the connection to the server was interrupted. There might be a possibility that all files required for the e-mails to send or receive might have not been copied to your operating system properly. To solve this issue you must reinstall the Microsoft® Outlook® 2007 after removing the existing version.
Issues while opening e-mail attachments
Sometimes Microsoft® Outlook® won’t be able to open a PDF attachment. If you try to open an attachment it shows “Access Denied” error. This arises if the Adobe Reader program is started under the Safe ‘n’ Sec credentials. Try to solve this error by recreating the user profile locally on the computer. If not, you can delete the Microsoft® folder from the local settings. This will put an end to the issue.
If your Microsoft® Outlook® 2007 client computer does not have a default gateway configured, it might cause some connectivity issues, such as you cannot start Microsoft® Outlook®, cannot open the Microsoft® Outlook® window etc. If your Microsoft® Outlook® 2007 has been configured manually you might get an error saying that Microsoft® Exchange® Server is unavailable. This may occur when you have an existing profile that was previously connected to the Microsoft® Exchange Server and then you lose the setting for your default gateway. Hence, make sure you have the proper settings done for network connections.
