The last step is to check whether the account has been configured properly or not. To do that, you will have to click on the Test Account Settings button. If all the settings are correct, then a pop up Window will appear which says that all your tasks have been completed. In earlier versions of Microsoft Outlook, reaching the Account Settings page was a lengthier process, but in Microsoft Outlook 2010, you just need to click on the File menu and click on Account Settings. Clicking on the Email tab will display the list of accounts you have configured with Outlook 2010. You just need to click on the e-mail account of which you view the settings.
