Delete Autofill in Microsoft® Outlook®
Do you want to know about Autofill in Microsoft Outlook and need some tips to delete it?
Microsoft Outlook 2007 is a part of Microsoft Office 2007 suite. Compared to its previous versions, it provides you high quality features, including instant searching, color category roaming, etc. Microsoft Outlook 2007 includes sharing capabilities and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 technology for easy sharing of data. Its advanced features include instant searching, calendar, etc. Microsoft Outlook 2007 also provides the Autofill function. The Autofill function saves or caches all e-mail addresses that you type for sending e-mails. So, you do not need to type the e-mail address completely every time. It will increase the performance by caching the commonly used e-mail addresses in fields, such as To and CC. The cache is saved with .NK2 extension in autocomplete file in user’s profile. When you start typing the e-mail address it displays the matching addresses as drop down list, so by navigating you can select your desired mail address easily.
The following points will give you clear idea about deleting and resetting of Autofill in Microsoft Outlook:
- Delete Autofill
- Autofill reset in Windows 7 or Windows Vista

Even if you correct the address, the wrong address will also be retained in the cache. This problem leads to slow performance and wastage of space. For avoiding this problem, you have to delete the wrong e-mail address. For deleting the wrong address, you have to select the wrong address by pressing down arrow of autocomplete box. Then, you need to press the 'Delete' option for deleting it from the Autofill.
