Microsoft Exchange Server is one of the popular messaging and collaboration server in the world. It is the engine which offers all e-mail and information sharing features in Outlook. Microsoft Exchange Server is capable of supporting POP, IMAP and web mail clients. It is one which allows the users to share information either by using Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Outlook Web Access. Microsoft Exchange Server has been specially designed to make work more capable and efficient. With the Microsoft Exchange Server everything in the Outlook would become group enabled so all your calendar, task, inbox etc. could viewed or modified by other users. You could even decide how much you want them to access your information. Then as this Exchanger Server features meeting planner you are able to select the users for meeting and could even update the calendar with the scheduled meeting.
The following are the reasons due to which Microsoft Outlook is disconnected from the Exchange server along with the tips to fix it:
- When Microsoft Outlook is in Offline mode
- Disable Cached Exchange Mode
- Ping the Microsoft Exchange Server
When Microsoft Outlook is in Offline mode
When the Microsoft Outlook is in Offline mode then it would be disconnected from the Microsoft Exchange Server. Thus so as to fix this, you would have to follow certain steps. First you would have to open Microsoft Outlook and then click on Disconnected. By doing so a context menu appears, here you would have to look whether the Work Offline is enabled. Then if it is enabled then you would have to uncheck it.
Disable Cached Exchange Mode
The Cached Exchange Mode would help you to save the excess network usage while you are using Microsoft Exchange Server. But sometimes when in it enabled, the Microsoft Outlook would be disconnected from the Microsoft Exchange server. So as to avoid this you would have disabled it. You would have to open Microsoft Outlook then, select E-mail Accounts from Tools Menu. After that by selecting ‘View or change existing e-mail accounts’ click on Next followed by clicking on Change. Then, you need to uncheck ‘Use Cached Exchange Mode’.
If you Ping the Microsoft Exchange Server then you would be able to know whether Outlook is been disconnected due to any network issues. Ping is a feature which comes with the almost all Operating System. It is very useful to find whether the host or server is reachable across your network. It would even provide you better experience while using Microsoft Exchange Server.
