The Indexing Option will be enabled after the next reboot of the system.
The first thing to do when indexing got disabled is to check whether it is accidentally disabled by the user. For checking and enabling the Indexing Option, go to Options under the File menu. Now, select Search from the left pane and then Indexing Options under the Sources tab. Click Modify button and check the box near the Microsoft Outlook. The Search and Indexing troubleshooter can help you if the problem still persists. The troubleshooter can be accessed from the Troubleshooting folder in the Control Panel.
