First exit from Outlook and follow the given steps to find the .pst file. Go to 'User Accounts' and 'Family Safety' in the 'Control Panel'. Proceed to 'Mail and Data Files' and then to 'Personal Folders'. Get 'Filename' from 'Settings' and get the text in the box; then close the windows. If you are using Outlook 2007, find the Inbox repairing tool. Enter '%ProgramFiles%Microsoft OfficeOffice12' in the 'Start Search' box. Double click 'SCANPST.EXE' and enter the file you want to scan in it to solve the issue.
You can empty the delete items folder to fix the issue. If the messages folders are bulky, then error may occur. Go to the 'View' menu and then to 'Folder list'. Right click the deleted items and select 'Empty Deleted Items Folder'. Another fixing method is to go to System tools in Accessories. Navigate through Inbox Repair tool to fix the issue.
Get to 'Mail and Fax' in the 'Control Panel' and navigate through Services. Remove the personal folders. Now add a new personal folder in the 'Available information services'. Enter the name of the folder and you are done with personal folders. Sometimes adding a new profile can solve the issue. It can be done in Mail and Fax option.
