How to Configure Yahoo! E-mail Account in Outlook 2007

Steps to set up Yahoo! Mail settings for Microsoft Outlook 2007
Step 1: Buy Yahoo! Mail Plus subscription from its official website. Visit the homepage and click on the ‘Upgrade Now’ button. Now follow the instructions as prompted.
Â Step 2: Launch ‘Outlook 2007’ and from the ‘Tools’ drop-down menu, select ‘Account settings’.
Â Step 3: Choose the ‘Email’ tab and click on ‘New’. Select ‘Manually configure server settings or additional server types’ and click on ‘Next’.
Step 4: Select ‘Internet E-mail’ and then ‘Next’.
Step 5: Now from the ‘Account type’ sub-menu, click on ’POP3’.
Â Step 6: In ‘Your Name’ box type your name and in the ‘Email Address’ box type your e-mail address. After that, enter ‘plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com’ under ‘Incoming mail server’ and ‘smpt.mail.yahoo.com’ under ‘Outgoing mail server’.
Â Step 7: Then enter your Yahoo! username and password respectively and tick mark the ‘Remember password’ box.
Step 8: Select ‘More Settings’ and then click on ‘Outgoing Server’.
Step 9: Now check mark the ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication’ box.
Step 10: Select ‘Use same settings as my incoming mail server’.
Step 11: Â Click on ‘Advanced’.
Step 12: In the POP3 port number box enter ‘995’ and in the SMTP port number box enter ‘465’. Check the ‘This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)’ box under POP3 and SMTP.
You can check the ‘Leave a copy of messages on the server’ box, in case you want to leave downloaded e-mails in your Yahoo! account.
Step 13: After that, click on ‘OK’ and select ‘Next’. You will see a ‘Congratulations’ window.
Step 14: Select ‘Finish’ and click on ‘Close’. You are ready to use Yahoo! account in Outlook.
