From Microsoft Outlook Express
In Windows operating system, the folder containing Microsoft Outlook Express messages will be marked as a hidden folder. To view the hidden files, go to the ‘Folder’ option in the ‘Control Panel’ and click on ‘Show hidden files and folders’ in the ‘View’ tab of the Folder option. Then select the folder named as ‘Microsoft Outlook Express’. This is usually present in C drive. Then copy the items that you want to import and paste them in the document folder.
To Windows Mail
To open Windows Mail, select the ‘Start’ menu and click on ‘Programs’. Navigate through the program list and click on ‘Windows Mail’. In Windows Mail, select the ‘File’ menu which is present at the top of the page and select ‘Import’. And then click ‘Messages’. Then browse the items that you copied into the document folder. Then click on ‘Select Folder’ and click ‘Next’. If you want to import all the folders, click on ‘All Folder’. If you want to import just the selected item, click on ‘Selected Folders’ and click ‘Next’. After importing the items to Windows Mail, click ‘Finish’.
In some cases, while importing e-mails or an item to Windows Mail, you may not be able to import mails and you may see an error message. This happens if the Microsoft Outlook Express folder is marked as Read Only. To resolve this issue, open the folder and select all the files you want to import and select ‘Properties’ by right clicking on the selected files. And clear the checkbox ‘Read only’. You will receive an error message if you try to import the file individually to Windows Mail. You have to import the entire Microsoft Outlook Express folder.
